On November 17th, Hostos Community College presented a double program of activities as the First First Annual Puerto Rican Author’s Book Expo joined the 7th Annual Puerto Rican Artisans Fair and Exhibit.

Author and upstate New York resident Cristina Louise joined tons of volunteers for the Forsyth Nature Center’s annual Fall Festival, held on Monday October the 8th  at their facilities in Kingston, New York.

Caribbean publisher and children’s book author Mario Picayo has been added to the roster of participants in Dominica’s Nature Island Literary Festival and Book Fair to be held from the 10th to the 12th of August.
 

Author Mario Picayo was invited to read at the historic Stone Ridge Library in Stone Ridge, NY. Founded in 1909, the library now hosts a weekly bilingual (English/Spanish) reading program.

Caribbean author and New York resident Mario Picayo will (almost) follow the text of his popular and best-selling title A Caribbean Journey from A to Y (Read and Discover What Happened to the Z) as he travels from A (Anguilla and Antigua) to S (Saba, St. Thomas, St. John, St. Kitts, St. Vincent) on a month long trip through the islands.

Puerto Rico’s First Lady, Luisa Gándara, has selected the bilingual book “My Brain Won’t Float Away/ Mi cerebro no va a salir flotando” as one of the presents that she and the governor will give to children visiting La Fortaleza on January 6th during the traditional Three Kings Day celebrations.
