Now Available! Broo Nansi and Hummingbird

Broo ’Nansi, that good-for-nothing fella, is back in a brand new tale full of twists, turns, humor, and wisdom.

This Holiday Season, our Under the Big Tree: New and Traditional Tales of the Caribbean and Beyond series is happy to present a new Broo Nansi story.

After the success of Broo ‘Nansi and the Tar Baby and Broo and ‘Nansi and Sis Iwana, we bring you Broo ‘Nansi and Hummingbird, a story where our lead character once again attempts to trick others in order to gain the upper hand (and eat lots of food!).

In this new tale you will meet Broo Ram Goat, say hello once again to Broo Tukuma and Sis Iwana (both appear in our previous Broo ‘Nansi books) and also meet the very fast and very smart Hummingbird.

In a nutshell:

The little spider has promised to make beautiful costumes for the upcoming carnival. Broo Tukuma is not sure that it is a good idea, but Sis Iwana wants to take the chance. Hummingbird seems to know something, but is not telling.

Will Broo ’Nansi behave this time?

Read and laugh with Broo ’Nansi and Hummingbird, a story filled with surprises and a very joyful, very Caribbean, and definitely very colorful ending.

The book includes information about Broo ’Nansi, a map, a reader’s guide, and more.

Broo ‘Nansi and Hummingbird is available and will make a great addition to your children’s book collection.  You can buy it here, or in the U.S. Virgin Islands you can pick up your copy at Bajo el Sol Gallery in Cruz Bay, St. John , Island Booksellers at Buccaneer mall in St. Thomas, and Undercover Books at Gallows Bay in St Croix.
