Dominica's Prime Minister Hon Roosevelt Skerritt Reads "I Am Dominica"
Prime Minister Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit and Children's Author Mara Etienne-Manley read I Am Dominica / Mwen Se Donmnik to students of the Newtown Primary School as part of Marpin's Reading Circle.
Prime Minister Skerrit read the book in Dominican Kwéyòl, and Ms. Manley read it in Standard English. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to understand the importance and beauty of knowing both languages.
